IS IT SAFE TO GET COSMETIC TATTOOING AFTER A COVID - 19 VACCINATION?

The COVID-19 vaccine is still very new and the ways it can affect certain treatments and procedures haven’t been studied yet.

However, doctors generally advise waiting at least two weeks before the first dose and two weeks after the second dose of the vaccine before getting a tattoo. Also, tattooing triggers a response from your immune system and could weaken it, which might lead to complications and a strong reaction to the vaccine.

The COVID-19 shot is a big strain on the immune system and the body takes time to build immunity. During this period your immune system is much more alert and will react more aggressively to any changes or trauma.

The vaccine could also weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to infections. So, if you’re getting the COVID-19 shot, it’s best not to subject your body to any unnecessary stress during this period
